Timber bed frames do not need to be treated but the mattresses are subject to Fire safety of furniture and furnishings in the contract and non-domestic sectors.

This is not a RRFSO matter, as there are no communal areas involved but would be subject building control regulations and you should contact them for this advice.

I cannot give definative advice without knowing the layout of the premisses I would need a detailed description or preferably a detail sketch. I am asumimg that your house is an upside down design, upstairs is living and the ground floor sleeping. The upstairs should be a heat detector and should be separated from the downstairs by 30 minutes. The downstairs should be smoke detectors.

Not than I am aware of, the closer to the structural opening, the better I would think.

I am not aware of any such ruling, if you can get a drop down seal that will function correctly then I would use it irspective of the size of gap.

Its a debatable thing as nominal fire doors are a compremise and if a lot of work is required they should be changed for a full spec fire door.

Have you checked the manufacturers fire door test report if in doubt go for the highest level.

No I would say it is not acceptable because the level of work required requires a door set being fitted.

I cannot understand why the thickness of the wall is limited to 100mm I would suggest you contact the manufacturer and ask what particular regulation are they talking about? A single brick wall thickness is 100 mm with 12.5 plaster each side is 125mm, a stud partition is 100mm with plaster board each side 125 mm it dose'nt make sense to me.

Provide ventilation between the room and the outside in most cases ir is provided.

That is between you and the building contractor or who sold the house.

Any doors leading to the outside do not have to be Fire Doors providing any fire that may involve the door or doors does not threaten a fire escape route.

I do not see how fitting 'swing bolt lock'/'door guard' or 'gate hook' is going to provide ventilation?

You are correct to a point, intumescent seals can be hidden but if cold smoke seals are required then they cannot. I cannot think of any written guidance to help you, a full knowledge of fire doors and common sense is rquired. Quote

They do not need to be visible at all times, they can they be sewn into the cover and be visible when the zipper is open. You cannot replace permanent labels this is done when the item is manufactured and they are the only one that can fix permanent labels.

Providing the door dosent threaten any person trying to pass the door, then a fire door is not required and consequently a self closer is not required. I am not aware of any guidance stipulating this in direct terms I just think it is common sense.

This should have been done when the EL was installed and they usually over exceed the required standards but as you are being challanged then I would retest the system and get a written report to prove the case.

You need to study the instructions that should accompany the fire doors ot get in touch with the manufacturer.

Which walls are constructed with stramit, is it the inernal walls or the external walls of the flat and does any any walls expose the straw.

That is not correct, if the divan base is upholstered the permanent labels should be permanently fitted to the base.

So a fire in the kitchen would smoke log the the staircase and prevent people using the staircase, not a good idea definately against fire safety guidance.
