Fire Door Installer Certification

Featured Replies

We have a client who has been on a Fire Door Course and was told that all installers must be certified under the new Fire Regs. Is this true? We have always known it that installers must be competent but there is no legal requirement to be officially certified. If this has changed, what is the best certification we should look to obtain as a company?

No it isn't (yet - may become so for High Rise Residential Buildings) but is still recommended.

You could look for The BWF-CERTIFIRE Fire Door and Doorset Scheme or the similar FIRAS scheme.
