Guest Jim Kent
Is it possible to use solar panels to provide an electricity supply to 2 number emergency light fittings in a remote storage building?
Tom Sutton
I am afraid the British Standard doesn't cater for solar panels only the normal electric supply or generators, therefore guidance on many items concerning solar panels are not dealt with, like the size of batteries for instance. Check out Fire Industry Association they may be able to help.
green-foam
No, because what would charge the fittings when there is not enough sunlight? I also have to ask why would you need emergency lighting, when there is no existing lighting to fail? if anyone is going into the building when its dark, would they not already be carrying a torch?
