I have read that fire doors with overhead mounted self closers require a minimum of grade 13 hinges. This is due to the increased stress on the hinge. Is this correct?

    Doors with these self-closing devices will be subject to increased stress levels at the hinges.  Therefore, whilst not an absolute requirement, installing more durable hinges would be good practice.
