September 4, 20196 yr comment_15146 Hello, i recently changed the back up battery in an ei141 after being alerted by the intermittent beep. So the beeping has stopped, and the green light is on but the red light which flashes to indicate that it’s working correctly has stopped? Any ideas where I went wrong? Any advice appreciated as I’m worried now that it’ll go off randomly in the night! Report
September 5, 20196 yr comment_15158 Have you tested the unit by pressing the test button and holding it for 10 secs. This will also reset the detector and the green led should show and the red led should blink every 40 secs. If this doesn't happen contact Ei electronics. Report
December 5, 20214 yr comment_22713 I have 5 interconnected smoke alarms changed all back up batteries . All are green light and blinking red lights. Except one.red light doesn't blink, but green is on. Report
December 9, 20214 yr comment_22771 What happens when you press the test button? If the unit is identical to the others, and they are all the same age, smoke alarms are not user serviceable, so the only option would be to change it. Report
