Fault sound for missing detectors?

Featured Replies

Hello,

For a LD2 Gade D 2 storey domestic building, is there any regulations that requires the fire alarm to create a fault sound if a detector is removed from it's base? If so could you please point me to this regulation?

Many thanks!

Not to my knowledge, the head of household or households if it is flats, should be  aware if smoke alarms are missing or defective.

No as the system is too basic to accommodate such a function - you usually only get a head removal fault on commercial  premises fire alarm system equipment (as is used where Grade A residential fire alarms are required)
