A question asked in a FRA template was " where an escape route is a "dead end " are all doors fire resistant and self closing " ?

escape route that is a dead end ? surely its not an escape route if its a dead end ??

Why not, it is a single direction MoE and all the doors should be FR s/c to enable you to pass the rooms  to get to a final exit door.

its possibly me but its surely not a "dead end " if it has an final exit door ??  a dead end is a path that leads nowhere not a path that leads to a door that leads to an open space ? I understand the point of FD leading onto an exit route but its the dead end bit ?

A dead end is simply a corridor (or similar) where you can only go in one direction, if you go down the other end you end up against a brick wall.

Either it is protected by fire doors and walls to the rooms off it or the whole area is protected by automatic fire detection
