Now that the UK is about to leave the EU, even if the EU hasn't replaced the fire exit signage directive with the iso 7010 one, what are the chances the UK during the repeal of various laws will amend the 1996 legislation so that the euro signage will be no more?

Hi, while it is too early to say at this point in time, our understanding within the fire safety industry is that standards etc will be kept the same to ensure we can trade (hopefully) freely with Europe.

I suspect the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996, considering they have had years to do something about it, will have a low priority in the new "Great Repeal Bill" and this anomaly will continue for years. 

I thought the great repeal bill was to adopt all existing EU law as UK law en-bloc, hence the signage law will be adopted

There is no EU law that covers safety signs, there is a directive that required member states to produce legislation regarding safety signs and the UK produced the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996. The standard on safety signs is BS EN ISO 7010:2012+A6:2016 and for the installation of fire exit signs is BS 5499-4:2013 - Safety signs. Code of practice for escape route signing, so what are we going to adopt?
