Manual call point activate randomly

Featured Replies

We have a zp2 panel, and on the loop is 3 manual call points, 1 of which activates in a fire condition at odd times, without being physically activated. What could be the cause of this? Your assistance is appreciated.

They have been and also replaced the unit, I don't think they know what could be wrong. That's why I'm trying to find out what the possible causes might be.

I can understand that you are trying to resolve the problem, but as I first said

............ without seeing it, all any one can do is guess............

It could be any of 507 possabilites all of which can not be "diagnosed" via a forum

Green foam is right it cannot be "diagnosed" via a forum but you have had the MCP changed so it is unlikely to be that, I assume the the system is working in all other aspects then you are left with the wiring where there could be an intermittent fault on the detector circuit, like breakdown of the insulation, pesky rodents.
