Guest TheresaW
Hi, I am trying to find a fire door for my flat to match the other doors. My joiner has said that he could get a new fire door, cut out the middle panel and fit the old panel in and get mouldings to match the other doors. Would cutting out a panel and fitting a different panel in void the fire certification?
Tom Sutton
It certainly would, you can make certain alterations to fire doors but it has to be done by approved joinery companies, approved by the certification organisations. ( British Woodworking Federation Certifire and TRADA Q-Mark )
