September 27, 20214 yr comment_21779 It is generally eccepted a 30 minute timber door should be 44mm and 60 minute timber should be 54mm in thickness, what about a metal door leaf? I have searched the forum as I'm sure this has been asked before but could not find the answer. Thanks Report
September 27, 20214 yr comment_21784 Metal fire doors do not have the same inherent properties of insultation and char behaviour as timber fire doors, therefore thickness alone is not necessarily a guide to fire performance. Contact the DHF https://www.dhfonline.org.uk/ for a copy of the guidance documents 'Metal Fire Door-set Verification' and ' Metal fire doors Code of Practice' Report
