It is generally eccepted a 30 minute timber door should be 44mm and 60 minute timber should be 54mm in thickness, what about a metal door leaf?

I have searched the forum as I'm sure this has been asked before but could not find the answer.

Metal fire doors do not have the same inherent properties of insultation and char behaviour as timber fire doors, therefore thickness alone is not necessarily a guide to fire performance.
