Fire door problems

Featured Replies

Hi. I live in. 3 storey block of flats.  There are 9 flats on total. The fire doors on the ground and top floor have blown around the glass pane.  They’ve been like this since December and I’m having no luck with the developer in getting them replaced.
mare they safe and is there anyone else I can report these to to try and force them to act?   Thanks

First find out who manages the block and report the issue to them. Depending on the seriousness of the issue in terms of safety the Responsible Person could be in breach of the Fire Safety Order 2005, if they fail to address the issue.

You could seek advice from https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/regulator-of-social-housing/about if you are a tenant or the local fire and rescue service (Community Fire Safety Officer) if you own the flat.
