We are on the second floor of a small block built in the 50ies. The flat entrance is on a balcony shared by other flats, it is open air, not on a closed corridor. We would like to put a composite contemporary wood door. Can anyone tell me what the official regulations are for external flat entry doors? Tom Sutton Posted April 5, 2019 Report Share Posted April 5, 2019 Do you have an alternative means of escape, or travel in one direction, from your front door this will determine the type of front door you require also do you have a stay put fire procedure.
