November 9, 20178 yr comment_11082 I am currently testing our works emergency lights, I have some that work as emergency lights when tested, but don't work when being switched onto the mains. Has anyone had this problem and did you find a solution? Any help greatly appreciated :) Report
November 9, 20178 yr comment_11083 Hi Josie, these are called non-maintained lights that only come on when the power is failing or switched off. Please see the following article about emergency lighting. Harry Report
October 19, 20196 yr comment_15518 There is emergency standby lighting which is emergency lighting which may be provided to enable normal activities to continue if the normal lighting fails but I think you are talking about emergency escape lighting, which is emergency lighting which is provided to ensure that the escape route is illuminated at all material times if there is an emergency and the normal lighting fails. Emergency escape lighting is designed only to be used when there is an emergency and provides light for about three hours, using batteries, standby lighting usually uses generators. Report
