Wiring update Ei151 to Ei161

Featured Replies

Hi,

My Ei 151TL alarm required replacing as the 10 year date came to an end. I bought the alternative alarm as the Ei 151TL is no longer avaliable.

I can see the new alarm Ei161e the wires have to be disconnected from the plug socket and re-wired directly into the alarm base. The four wires currently coming though the celing are live, battery, interconnect & neutral.

My only question is what do i do with the battery wire for the new alarm Ei161e? As the Ei161e only has live, interconnect & neutral.

I have the exact same problem - have you reached a solution yet?

So what your saying is both blue wires go into the neutral on the base?

Connected the blues together and all is well and functioning correctly.

Does the same method aply to the ei3016?

I'm also interested in if this is the same for the Ei3016...

Yup...two blues in one terminal works. Same question / doubts - thanks for the answer / assurance. AICO should consider providing this info as they are selling this as a replacement.
