Guest JimGa
I have been asked by a school 'can 10mm intumescent strips be used or do they have to be 15mm'. They have not mentioned the type and function of door, however assuming that the doors are single action and 30 min or 60 min fire resisting doors what would be the minimum dimensions? Thanks for your help, Regards
Tom Sutton
Checkout http://www.firesafe.org.uk/fire-doors/ it is usually 10mm for FD30 and 20mm for FD60 fire doors for more detailed information go to http://www.ifsa.org.uk/pdf/Information%20Sheet%20No1.pdf it is important to check the manufacturers data sheets, there may be variations.
