We have moved into an old building and have turned what was 2 small rooms with 1 fire exit each into one room. Please would you advise us if we are within the law to remove one of the fire-doors and brick it up? Is there anything we have to do/ anyone to be informed?

    Depends on the number of people who will be using the new room, the direction of swing of the remaining door and the travel distance to a place of comparative safety.
