The building I work in has 4 floors, the company I work for works in the lower 2 floors. The large staircase is a fire compartment and we would like to create a fire wall within this compartment. Tom Sutton Posted August 8, 2013 Report Share Posted August 8, 2013 I see no reasons why a fire compartment cannot be divided but dividing a large staircase by creating a fire wall? How is this going to affect the means of escape. I think the proposals need to be considered very carefully and much more information is required before any reasonable response could be given.
