Guest Cindy
We are managing properties in the London borough of Newham and they've just enforced the new property licences . As part of this licence we/landlord need to ensure that the furniture provided comply with the fire regulations. There are so many different tests to be carried out and we are in no way experienced or authorised to carry these out. Is there any authority that can do this for us, what can we do to ensure all furniture supplied by the landlords comply with these regulations? Tom Sutton
I would suggest you get in touch with the Furniture Industry Research Association(FIRA) they are the experts on these matters. You could check the Guide to the Regulations which will give you an understanding and I think it is the domestic flammability guide you require.
