A new fire door has been installed and a maglock bracket has been cut into the top of the frame so it can reach the armature plate on the door. Has this compromised the fire door?

The door guys did state to only drill 8mm holes into the frame .

If this is a new installation of a new fire door assembly or new fire door-set, installation should have been carried out in accordance with the fire door leaf or fire door-set manufacturers instructions. In practice, this means that only components that can be confirmed as compatible with the new fire door should be installed, and installed in accordance with manufacturers evidence of performance.
