April 28, 20242 yr comment_42553 Hello, I’m new on this forum and have found it very helpful. Can anyone advise me please. Below is a quote from a fire door and building regulations approved BWF. https://www.jbkind.com/uploads/pdfs/JBK_Fact_Sheet_Fire_Doors_and_Building_Regulations.pdf. Smoke seals are recommended on doors approaching or protecting escape shafts such as stairs and corridors and where a door separates a private area from a common space such as a flat front door. Smoke seals are also recommended on doors in sections of corridors that lead to dead ends. Note: Where smoke seals are required, the threshold gap (at the bottom of the door) must be set at no more than 3 mm. My question does a staff room and toilet door need smoke seal as in theory if there is a fire and you are in that area you will be escaping from there, so it forms part of the escape route. Thanks In advance. Report
