I am writing this post seeking advice on fire doors for Grade 2 listed buildings. I understand the importance of ensuring all fire doors are installed and maintained following the law. However, I have some concerns regarding fire doors in Grade 2 listed buildings.

I understand that there may be certain exemptions for fire safety regulations in Grade 2 listed buildings, and I would like to know how these exemptions may affect fire door requirements. Specifically, I would like to seek expert advice on the following questions:

There are no exemptions, just the use of a risk assessed approach to the overall fire safety package of which doors are just a part.

Uprating existing heritage doors is one approach - Envirograf are very helpful with that - also English Heritage have various guides
