Acoustic door guards - can they be fitted on doors opening onto stairwells in sheltered housing

    The guidance says no - any use in this situation would have to be mitigated with a rationale as to why it doesn't compromise safety in that specific situation. Ultimately a court or determination would decide if it was suitable to meet the legislation.
