I am looking for information of fire regulations for a flat above an office. ie. Does the law say I should have a fire door on the kitchen. Even when I have escape windows to the bedrooms?

Also does the fire alarm have to be connected to the office fire alarm?

    With out a great deal more information it is impossible to say, you would need to know the layout of the office and flat. Also the degree of fire separation between the office and the flat. More besides.
