Hi there, 

 

I have some questiones about fire door infill. Hope someone can give me question.

1. What kind material will infill in fire door?

2. Does British have standard for these material? If yes, where I can find the document?

3. Does anyone hear about in EU or UK they use perlite mix with other material to infil fire door?

In the UK, various materials are used for the core of a fire resisting door.  The most common is timber and/or chipboard but some composite fire doors have a core of foam within a timber frame.  Metal fire doors are also available.

British Standards for fire doors are for fire resistance performance tests rather that construction materials.  Refer to BS 476 part 22 : 1987 and BSEN 1634-1 : 2014

Hi Neil,Does in EU or UK they used perlite insulation boards? If yes, where I can find the information?
