We would like to install a room divider which is not fire rated. 

 

I could not find the same design with FD30 therefore I was thinking to do the 3 upgrades below. Would that be sufficient? 

 

The door will be installed between the hallway and the living room.

 

1. Hinges

 

We will have 3 hinges per door

 

2. Fire Resistant Glazing

We will apply glazing to the outside of the door and the frames.

 

3. Strips Around the Door

We will add intumescent strips to both sides and top of the doors

The door to be upgraded would require inspection by a competent person before recommending upgrading products and materials.
