New carbon monoxide alarm: HSA/BC/RF10-PRO.  No RED light appears when first pressing test/silence button. Have tried resetting but to no avail.

     You should press and hold the test/silence button for 4 seconds, it should then "chirp" 4 times and the red LED should flash for upto 30 seconds, after this it will revert back to normal.  If you have just purchased it and it does not do as suggested, take it back from where you got it.
