Can server room doors be locked or do they need to stay open as a fire exit?

Hi

Fire doors which are not part of the exit route can be locked such as boiler room doors. What about server/computer room? This is used only occasionally if something needs to be fixed. Is it still ok, for this door to be locked?

Any room can be locked when not in use unless it forms part of an escape route from an occupied area.
