We would like to move a security which is linked to another company. Once moved it means one of there fire exits will be behind the security gate if it is locked. We are open 24 hours 5 days a week so the gate is always open when their factory is open.

Can we do this and it be compliant?

In theory yes, but of course there is the risk of hours changing in future - if there is enough width to include a passenger gate in the sections of fence either side this would future proof the work.
