Can a fire hose be used to fill a water pit?

Featured Replies

hello,

wondering if you can help me I'm just wondering if a fire hose in an industrial factory can be used for filling up a water pit used for nothing to do with the fire system,

could you help me or lead me to what is the law in the uk on them and if using a fire hose to fill an external pit in the factory is in fact illegal?

Thanks
Jonny

I far as I am aware there is no law for the situation you describe consequently I see no problems, providing after use the fire hose is returned to its normal location and made ready for use, in case it is required for fire fighting.
