Can we skip the manual monthly emergency light testing and rely only on the automatic self-test one?

    Yes, but you would still need to carry out (& ideally record) a monthly visual inspection to identify any units that have failed the self test and for any other defect such as diffusers that are stained/discoloured, physical damage, etc.

    It is still a lot less onerous than having to put units onto test though!
