The width of the stair well before fitting the lift is only 1000mm. Can you advise on the minimum space required for access after the equipment is installed? Tom Sutton Posted November 20, 2015 Report Share Posted November 20, 2015 Approved Document B Fire Safety Vol 2 states for up to 60 persons the minimum width of escape route is 750mm so if you can achieve this with the chair folded then it should be acceptable.
