March 23, 201511 yr comment_7295 Hello. I have a lounge with a very tall ceiling. Beside is a kitchen with a low ceiling. Therefore there is an attic room above the kitchen to make up for the height difference. I would like to convert this attic into a room. It would need a staircase coming down into the lounge. Is it possible to install this staircase without boxing it in as long as i have a fire alarm system with sensors in every room? Yours faithfully Antony Report
March 23, 201511 yr comment_7299 Not as simple as that you would need Building Regulations approval consequently it would have to meet the requirements of Approved Document Part B Fire Safety. Report
