On some websites it is stated that annual servicing of fire extinguishers should be carried out by a BAFE approved company, is this a legal requirement or can other companies service my extinguishers?

    It is not a legal requirement and a BAFE approved company is not a 100% guarantee but it is a consideration that you should consider when selecting a competent person to service your extinguishers. Other non BAFE approved companies could service extinguishers providing you have been fully diligent in your selection of a competent person if things should go pear shaped?
