Cleaning out would not help as it is a heat alarm. Lithium re-chargeable means the backup batteries do not need to be replaced. Unfortunately, this sounds as if you will need a new alarm. Guest Glen Posted February 17, 2015 Report Share Posted February 17, 2015 I have the same issue with this model, green light is on and unit is beeping. The unit has a 6/05/2010 sticker on it.
