Hi,  I work for a leisure group and have  recently done an online firedoor maintenance  course. Most  firedoors in our centres are nominal doors. My manager seems to think I can just repair them without the firedoors being assessed. Is this true?? 

Yes and no.

If its running maintenance such as replacement seals, minor gap adjustments, like for like replacement of door furniture etc then yes.

Anything else should be assessed, don’t forget that a temporary repair is better than leaving a defective door whilst waiting for a replacement.
