It all depends on the fire separation between the chip shop & apartment - if it can be proven to be 60 minutes fire resistance then you won't need the building wide fire alarm system, just the Part 6 Grade D smoke/heat alarms to the flat and (if required, it may not need it in this case)a separate Part 1 system just to the Chip Shop Quote
