The kitchen is in the basement, which has it own door leading to the outside,the basement stair is separate from the main staircase, does it require a fire door top or bottom. it a domestic two storey with a basement at the rear.

Any doors leading to the outside do not have to be Fire Doors providing any fire that may involve the door or doors does not threaten a fire escape route.
