Wheelie Bin Storage.

I live in social housing and the Housing association are building a new wheelie bin storage area which will consist of 6 general waste and 6 recycling waste bins. This area is 2 metres away from the building where I have a gas pipe entering my flat. Is this acceptable and if not what requlationscdoes it breach.
