  1. Hello, Just wondering if anyone knows about whether the green emergency release buttons are required for entry exit doors. This is for student accommodation and we are having serious issues with them over the last year pressing the release buttons to keep the doors unlocked because they either lost their key-card or are too lazy to take them. One thought was only having the red emergency buttons connected to the fire alarm to prevent them misusing the doors. Similar thing with the fire escapes of the flats, they go to an external staircase and are regularly propped open. So basically you allowed to remove the green break glasses and only have red as emergency releases? Thanks
  2. Thanks Neil. Figured that would be the case. Much appreciated
  3. Hello, Had a question asked to me regarding adding smoke/intumescent seals to already fitted fire doors. These fire doors don't have any seals currently fitted and need to be brought up to standard. What would be the case for the best way to do this? Just cut grooves into the fitted doors and install the appropriate seals whether FD30 or 60 and reinstall? Also what would be the best way to fix the seals. I've seen some recently that don't look too good, some have been nailed in, some have been stuck in with weak glue and the strips are popping out. So wanted to know best procedure for now on. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks, John
