I am planning to make my Airing Cupboard twice it's width in my 3 storey home. I either make a double door but that means a double frame. I have 2 24in firedoors etc. then the doors open left and right which takes up part of the landing for escape. OR put up 2 single frames butted/ joined together but both hinged on the left so they would close in the same direction as persons might run down the stairs on the left perhaps pushing past a door still not quiet closed. Generally the right door will have little use as the drying and storage area is on the left side anyway! Thanks.
