my sister has a registered charity and will shortly have to purchase bar stools, table and chairs, and we are looking at various sites on the internet. My enquiry is how do i go about finding out if the furniture, like chairs, stools, and sofas from different internet sites, have passed the furniture regulations and are suitable to put in the charity organisation. Do i enquire from the internet site I wish to purchase from?. I would be grateful for any help or information you could give me.

The furniture regulations only apply to upholstered furniture, therefore tables should present no problems. Is the upholstered furniture for domestic or contract/ non-domestic purposes, because different rules apply.
