BRK 660MBX beeping

Featured Replies

Hi

I bought BK660MBX BRK Mains Powered Smoke Alarm, Version 660MBX in May 2017

Recently, alarm was beeping  every 45 seconds so I changed the Lithium battery you supplied with a new Duracell as advised in the Manual.

The alarm still keeps beeping. I checked the Manual and verified all of the following:

- I've checked the fuse in the power circuit to the alarm

- I have gently vacuumed as instructed

- installed another new Duracell battery

Still the alarm beeps every 45 seconds in this particular unit

The other two identical alarms I bought from you and installed on other floors of the house have had their batteries replaced and are not having this problem

I look forward to your advice

Kind regards

K Shah

Dear Sir/Madam

Two possibilities:

1) your power supply does not reach the alarm unit (wrong or interrupted wiring). You can exclude this possibility by switching heads with one of the other units. If the replacement unit also beeps there is a power supply issue.

2) if there is a technical fault the alarm needs replacing. Please contact your seller for an exchange under warranty.
