I have two mbx660 mains powered smoke detectors and recently I experienced chirping which I discovered was related to back up battery which I replaced. All good.
 

The other smoke detector has now had the same problem however when I change the battery the alarm goes off and only stops when I remove the battery. Can you advise what the issue may be?
