Guest Kevin Martin Posted March 30, 2018 Report Share Posted March 30, 2018 Hi I have 2 Ei141 smoke detectors one of which today started beeping continually and the test button does seem to work. Green Light NO red light not on or flashing New battery fitted about 12 months ago end of life of unit 2021 can you advise what the problem could be? Safelincs Posted March 31, 2018 Report Share Posted March 31, 2018 Hi Kevin With the green light off, your power supply to the unit is off and the battery is being drained. Check that the fuse has not been switched off. If that does not resolve things you will need to get an electrician out to check your wiring and connections.
