October 15, 201312 yr comment_5793 Hi Sadhana The green light means you have good power supply, so no issue there. Cleaning out would not help as it is a heat alarm. Lithium re-chargeable means the backup batteries do not need to be replaced. Unfortunately, this sounds as if you will need a new alarm. The new model for this is called KEKF3R by the way. February 17, 201511 yr comment_7161 I have the same issue with this model, green light is on and unit is beeping. The unit has a 6/05/2010 sticker on it. I believe these units have a six year warranty. Can it be replaced under warranty? Report
