October 14, 20241 yr comment_45197 Any advice on hinges? My employer has received a quote for circa £12k to clean or replace hinges on 36 doors due to leaks. I've had the maintenance tech clean the hinges and they look like new, fire doors are all shutting as expected. Do you think it is acceptable to monitor the doors over say the next few months to see if they remain leak free? The employer has not maintained the doors over the last 10 years or so so could the leaking oil be wear and poor maintenance as opposed to worn hinges? Report
