Just after some advice really... we are currently undergoing a loft conversion in a house build in 1952 (ish).. I realise I need FD30 doors however all the door frames (living room kitchen bedrooms etc) are all metallic (2 hinges) approx 35mm deep.

Will I have to replace the door frames also.? Maybe not more specific than that.

It depends on the door leaf you use.  Consult the technical/certification data sheet for the door leaf and it will tell you the door frame requirements. Stick to that and you can retain product performance certification for the door assembly but if you deviate that, the certification may be void.
