  1. Deta 1111 - smoke alarm and heat alarm

    Good morning, I'm currently looking at my fire alarms due to the impending changes in fire safety legislation in Scotland. My house currently has 3 Deta 1111 smoke alarms - which appear to be interlinked (when I press test on them only the smoke alarm being tested goes off, none of the others do - but when the smoke alarm goes off through dodgy cooking all 3 go off) is this right? I understand that the 1111 alarms are now dated - and the 1151 are the newer verson - is it worthwhile upgrading these? My house is around 8 years old and the 1111 alarms have been in since being built. My house doesn't have a heat alarm in the kitchen, so I need to get one - is anyone able to point me in the direction of a heat alarm which will interlink with the above alarms? Many thanks in advance for your help.
