  1. Dear J.T We could certainly look to specially manufacture something for you, the rules on the legend design are strictly supposed to be Green and White, however this can be down to the particular fire officer in the area - rules can tend to be bent a little bit sometimes depending. It would be my advice to contact the local fire officer and see what the reaction from them is. If they say it will be ok I can look to price them up for you. We would need to laser cut the aluminium and bespoke manufacture the fitting. Please bear in mind there would be a premium to pay for such product - I would not be able to give an idea of price until I had drawings to work from. Kind regards Garry
  2. Dear DD Currently, there is no need to have the extinguishers installed by service engineers (this will change in a few months, by the way, when the new British Standard comes out). The invoice is the proof of installation date and the extinguishers have the manufacturing date stamped on them. After one year you will need to have your extinguisher professionally serviced if you are a business or landlord. We do however, recommend that you visually inspect the extinguisher (handle not damaged, security pin moves freely and pressure gauge in green) and record the weight. This will help the service engineer in a year’s time tremendously. Kind Regards Garry
  3. Ok let's reset, as it sounds that the system has lost its information: 1) set units to factory mode: press housecode button with screwdriver for 7 seconds til amber light has come on fully. Repeat with other unit 2) test communication by pressing test button til sounder in both units is starting. Wait 2 minutes. Then repeat with second unit. 3) Set housecode again: Press Housecode button with screwdriver for 1 to 2 seconds til amber light flashes with double flash every 5 seconds. Repeat with other unit. This type of flashing carries on for about 15 minutes.
  4. Unfortunately not the Sentry QE4531 can only be used to protect CDs, DVDs, USB Drives and Memory Sticks. 5. The fire alarm panel should be inspected visually on a daily basis for normal operation of the system and any defects should be recorded in a logbook and reported to a responsible person. A full system test should be carried out weekly including an examination of batteries and connections including electrolyte level, the test and any defects should be recorded in a logbook and reported to a responsible person. We do not sell fire alarm log books but we do have a free fire safety log book which contains a fire alarm testing section which can be downloaded below. I hope this helps you. Download our Free Fire Safety Log Book
  6. The Ei140 series of alarms (Ei141, Ei144 and Ei146) are the replacements for the Ei130 Series, the interconnection facility on both alarms is identical, so they can both be used in the same system.
  7. Silencing the alarms in case of a false alarm: In case one of the units detects smoke, all alarms sound. To silence the alarms in case of a false alarm, press the hush button on the unit that has detected the smoke. This will silence all alarms. If you do not know which detector caused the alarm, you can silence each alarm individually by walking from alarm to alarm and pressing the hush button. This will silence the individual alarm but the other alarms will continue to sound. This prevents a person silencing the system in case of a real fire.

  9. The unit that replaces the Ei150 is the Ei 151TL ionisation smoke alarm, this should fit directly onto your existing Ei150 base. The Ei15o and the Ei151TL are very similar units but the 151TL has 10 year rechargeable lithium cells. More information regarding the Ei 151TL
